Alan Perlmutter is a co-founding member of GCP Capital Group LLC along with partners Matthew Classi and Paul Greenbaum. Mr. Perlmutter has served as a Managing Member since the company’s inception in 1996, overseeing its continued growth and success.

Mr. Perlmutter has been involved in over $50 billion in financing of multi-family, office, retail and hotel properties in the United States. He has over 25 years of advisory experience in which he has built many long-term relationships. His hands-on approach to every transaction with attention to every detail from beginning to close has earned him the reputation as one of the most sought after real estate professionals in commercial mortgage finance.

Recent notable transactions by Mr. Perlmutter include a $220M refinancing of a 10-building multifamily/retail portfolio in Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn and Westchester; a $114M financing of a 24-story multifamily building in Manhattan; and a $70M financing of a 16-story office building in Manhattan.

Mr. Perlmutter is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York and the Mortgage Bankers Association of NY. He supports numerous charities within his community and beyond. Mr Perlmutter graduated with a BBA in finance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
