James Hansen recently arrived at GCP Capital Group after more than 20 years in the residential mortgage industry. At Sterling Bank he arranged over $850,000,000 in loan volume over the course of 20 years. He has recently closed a $5,500,000 refinance of a mix of small multi-family buildings in Westchester County, as well as a similar $4,200,000 refinance, also in Westchester, and several purchases of smaller multi-family properties.
James graduated from Trinity-Pawling School in Pawling, NY, and St. John’s University with honors in 1981. He was a news broadcaster for WLIR-FM from 1979 – 1983.
James is a published novelist, having written “The Pepsi Signs,” and when he is not placing commercial loans he dances tango, plays drums, golf and basketball, and continues to write novels, screenplays, and some poetry.
